R O R Y T U R N S O N E

It is always a bitter sweet moment when my Bump to Baby cherubs come in for their one year session. I love love love watching them grow big, learn new things & develop into their own little characters but on the other hand I am always super sad because I no longer get to see them every few months. Thankfully a big percentage of my Bump to Baby clients become yearly clients and so I still get to catch up with the families who become more like friends.

My journey with Samantha & Dale started back in July 2020. For Samantha & Dale’s Maternity Session we headed out to Eithie Woods, this is a popular location among my clients & one of my favourites too. There are so many different parts of the woods to explore… so many different ways to walk & so many different areas to get photographs at.

Samantha chose to wear her own dress for the Session; I have a selection of dresses, which you can, if you wish choose from too. Burgundy was a great choice, and it fitted in perfect with the summer colours of the woods. Maternity Sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other before baby comes along. My sessions are always relaxed & I work quite quickly, before grumpy dad’s who hate getting their picture taken get too grumpy. Hahaha.

In August along came little Rory, weighing 8lb 14oz. He came into the studio a dream baby… we got sleepy shots, shots with Mum & Dad, and awake shots. The whole package.

9 months later in May this year, Rory, Samantha & Dale came back into the studio for Rory’s Sitter Session. We decided pre-session that if the weather held up we would do

some Studio shots & some outdoor shots. This is an option at Maternity, Sitter & your one-year session. Thankfully the weather held up & after capturing lots of smiles we went for an adventure.

And now…. Rory’s last Session on his Bump to Baby Package with me, his Cake Smash. Samantha & Dale came into the studio a few weeks before hand to plan it out. We made a design together for the theme, the personalised banner & planned an outfit for Rory from my many Cake Smash outfits available for use.

Samantha wanted jungle theme & it worked out perfectly. The animals on Rory’s banner were very cute & Laura over at Laura’s Beautiful Bakes fitted the design brief on the cake to a T. Rory is such a happy smiley boy and this shows in his images. There is no denying the boy loves his food & I took great pride in capturing him while he demolished his cake. Judging by the mmmmm’s coming from him, I think he enjoyed it.

Samantha & Dale, Thank you so so much for choosing me to capture Rory’s first year. It really has been my pleasure.
