How do we officially book our wedding date? I take a £100 non-refunable booking fee to secure your date. Are you booking weddings for 2027 yet? Yes, Saturdays are limited so secure your date quickly. My 2028 diary is also open. Is engagement photography included?
If you book me at a Wedding Fayre my special may include an engagement session, but generally no. I do pre-wedding sessions which i always recommend doing with around 1 year to go, this gives you a feel for the scenery on your day, the potential weather (although we live in Scotland if its a scorcher don't get your hopes up & if it's a downpour don't let that bother you either)
How long after our Wedding do we receive our photographs?
My Wedding galleries are ready within 6 weeks of you saying I do. They go online for you to proof before they are available in a password-protected gallery for all of your family & friends to view. On the day you guests will receive a business card including the website, a QR code & your chosen password with the information on how they can view your photographs to make it super simple for everyone.
How long do ‘formal’ Family shots take?
These shots can take as little or as long as you would like depending on how many shots you would like to include. I suggest keeping it simple with parents, grandparents & siblings however there may be other special people that you would like formal photographs with & thats ok. Remember it is your day. I have a questionnaire which goes over all of these in detail, we fill this out together at your ‘8 weeks to go’ meeting. I like to say 20 minutes, no more than 30.
How long do bridal shots take?
Again.. as long as needed but | aim to keep you away from your guests no longer than 25 minutes. In the months April - October we can shorten this time down even further if you are ok splitting your shots into two & catching golden hour too. How many hours of coverage do we need? How much of your day you want covered is down to you, I can cover from as little as 1 hour right up to the full day - 10am till the 3rd Evening dance. 95% of my clients go for full day.
Do you bring a helper with you?
It is just me. insert sad face As many of you will know Granny Mary always came with me, unfortunately she isn’t as able as she use to be so she gets to stay at home with my Mum & Baby Girl. (How long can I call her a baby for? She’s 16 months now, insert another sad face)However you can still catch Granny Mary with me at the Wedding Fairs, I will be at Carnoustie Golf on Sunday 18th & Park Hotel, Montrose on Sunday 25th January. Come say hello even if it’s just to Granny Mary.
When do you take a break?
In short I don’t, you might see me grabbing a quick glass of water but I don’t sit down until you sit down to enjoy your meal. While you have your meal I will grab something to eat for my Tea also & then as soon as you are done I am back up & ready to capture more of your Special Day.
Do we have to feed you?
You do not have to feed me; however if your venue is not operating their restaurant or does not have one it is in my contract that a meal should be provided. I do prefer to eat away from your guests as I will grab my Macbook & start uploading the photographs from your day to back them up. This is also my wee ‘break’ where I reflect on the day, and make a plan for the evening so I do prefer to just nip off to the bar/restaurant & get something to eat fairly quickly.
When do we get any products included within our package?
Once you have chosen your images & designs your products will be available in the rough time frames below - USB - usually available when your images are readyThank you cards - 3 weeksPrints - 2 weeksAlbum - 8 weeks +
Do you only shoot Weddings?
No, as much as I love weddings & capturing such a special day I couldn’t be without the newborn cuddles, laughter within a family session or the mess of a Cake/Paint smash. You’ll find lots of examples of my work on my website, & while most weekends are filled with Weddings I do shoot lots of other Sessions during the week.
